No halal logo given by Jakim. Only i can say. Is a free pork restaurant. But til alot if muslim go over there to take dinner. The restaurant sell beer....
I don't recall it being a halal-certified outlet, no signage. But its definitely pork-free. Muslim workers present, and I've seen Muslims dine there. Personal choice, i suppose.
It's a non halal restaurant
Yes...already can for dine in
The nearest surau is probably Surau Ihyaul Galahad at Jalan Cempaka.
Lala chong restaurant at kayu ara is open everyday. Lala Chong restaurant in sunway mentari have not decided yet. Pls make reservation early.
They have a section of place with air-conditioning, it's good place for private even or family gathering
This is not the restaurant's website! It is Google maps with information on this LOCATION. Please contact the restaurant directly for your enquiry
Food is so much good... Recommended for company get to gather
A vast choices of seafood,For the lala soup, Muslims can ask for them not to add rice wine, by default they add rice wine into their soup.
Good halal seafood restaurant. Spacious with air-Cond section for those who prefer a cooler place. Visited before CNY, so Yee Sang was standard item. Followed by the signature Lala dish and vegetarian 🦈 fins soup. The brocoli mushroom dish was OK. Brocoli was a little on the yellow side. Fish was fresh but the taste was quite different. Maybe it was because of the type of 🐠 ? 2 different prawn dish was steamed with egg white and fried "kam heong" style. Overall a 7 over 10 rating.
To me nothing great. Have eaten at better places. Pricey
A little pricey, taste is acceptable.
2ND day of CNY for lunch. 3 tables in the airconditioned area. Slow service - to take order deliver drinks and food. Not all aircon units were on but the 3 tables were spread out in a rather warm room instead of clustered together. Food was unexceptional - kam heong lala, beans with dried prawns (best dish) soupy spinach with century egg, salted egg sotong, and steamed patin with kiam chye. Steamed patin didn't have a muddy taste.
The kam heong lala and prawn is really good. Service was good, clean and staffs were quick at their work. Suitable for group dinner. Satay is also available to order from a stall just outside the restaurant.
For the food of course. Dinner place for my family once in a while. Check out the dragon vege stir fry with garlic and also baby squid honey.
One of best places to enjoy seafood in Petaling Jaya. Lala Chong has been established for so long! Every dish is cooked to perfection in terms of flavour and texture. It’s difficult to recommend as they have so many dishes and it’s impossible to try them all. However I really enjoy their salted egg dishes. The selection of fish to steam are also very fresh.
Service is good! Price increased tremendously.. but the food is so so these days. New satay stall outside- meat is rough and too sweet. The good thing about this place is it’s HALAL and we can bring our muslim friends and colleagues. 😂
One of the good location to eat with your colleagues, it's not halal but pork free.
Family comfort food. Great food at reasonable prices! Quick serving times. Very good local go-to Chinese style dishes restaurant. Fish very fresh and delicious. i love the Yam cake there which is my favorite. My family and cousins really enjoy the meal..We have ordered 3 table full of many varities of dishes. 😁😅😍 Sure will come again and will do recommended to my friends also.
Best place for seafood, fresh & delicious. Must order lala, crab & seafood. Good environment too.
Unpretentious place for fresh seafood. Do remember to try their "lala" superior soup.
A good place for a family gathering. Lots of variety. Good food quality too. You have an option of fan or aircond seating. You can get beer here. Most importantly this shop is HALAL!!! YES ITS A HALAL, CHINESE SEAFOOD RESTAURANT! Which means you can bring over your Malay friends for a seafood dinner! 👍👍👍
Food a bit slow, but ok la since full house during CNY. Service chun
Fresh seafood but price is not on the cheap side. However, I think the price is worth for the quality of seafood served.
The food is well cooked and promptly served. It's flavourful and nicely presented. The aircond section is comfortable and clean. It's signature dish of the clam soup is great. It is flavoured with rice wine and the chillies gives it the necessary piquancy to bring the soup the next level. The steamed fish is excellen with a generous serving of parsley and spring onions.
Halal or non halal? Chinese like to use rice wine and wine when cooking. I asked the waiter if the lala chong and other dishes they put rice wine and they say yes. Of course you may ask them not to put it. Its really your choice. FYI I am a chinese muslim. As for the food yes it does taste delicious. I used to eat there before I reverted.
Serve very reasonable good seafood. And value for money. During weekend please come before 7 pm
I like this branch better than Ara Damansara. Somehow the food tastes better. Favourite orders dishes are salted egg cuttlefish, black pepper beef and the fried mantou bun-a must order! Best to have the fried mantou bun with a butter gravy dish.
First rime here with family. Tried the crab and it was delicious. Especially when you dip with the fried mantou. Then also had the satay. So touching to be able to eat such delicious meal after staying so long at home during MCO.
Food OK but nothing to shout about.
Love this place, everything was perfect. To me, it was first time, but I really enjoyed fresh dishes with friendly service, and decent atmosphere. Those friends I hang with were also really satisfied visiting here. I will definitely go visit again.
Now during RMCO they priorities food order by delivery more until dine in customer orders are missed, food taste ok as usual.
Price is on the high side, taste wise is drop since last visit. Not as crowded as before.
Food is decent but the service level is terrible. Asked the staff to take our order but was rude and when we asked some questions he just turned away and walked off.It feels like you owe the staff money to begin with and everyone who works there is having PMS or just angry all the time
Good service and food is ok. Very flexible in terms of bookings during festive. Good for big groups. Don’t come after 7 if u haven made any bookings especially during cny.
My 1st time here. A very warm ambience as you arrive but most importantly is the good service and food was super delicious. Will come back again.
Taste is normal, but is worth to try if you havent come before.
Excellent food! 🍻
Always amazing here with true authentic tastes. The kam heong is to die for! Fast service, delicious food, what more could you ask for?
Claim soup Chinese style, fried tiny squid in honey sauce and salted eggs mantis prawn is a must order here. Pork free, muslim friendly.
Good foods. Friendly boss and manager. Very knowledgeable and recommends very good foods.
Went here for a CNY dinner. If you’re having dinner here, I encourage you to pre book a table to avoid inconvenience. Plenty of parking at that area. Food is quite good. I love the fried mantao the most. Have two parts to the restaurant. One with air conditioning while another is outdoor. Can consider as an option to have halal Chinese food.
Best salted egg coated mantis prawn I've ever had!
Fried noodles with lala. Rm9. Reasonable portion, taste good, spoonful with tiny lala.
Seafood is fresh, reasonably priced. Good service.
A good seafood restaurant with decent prices. Have been here a few times. Its good.
We had extremely bad experience. This CNY I came 2 times. First time we came with some clients for dinner. Despite our booking earlier, we were told there’s no booking and dish were delayed. It took us 4 hours to complete the dinner. Second time was our company cny dinner. We booked for 5 tables. After waiting for an hour, finally the first dish, the fish, was served but only for 4 tables. When I asked, the server told me he missed out one table. We had to wait for another 20 mins before our fish was served.
I enjoyed eating there. I just love food in general lil. But here's my honest feedback: The steam fish was my favourite! Tender and tasty. Prawns were a lil too cooked (meat was slightly tough). The longan dessert soup was too sweet.
I was looking for a good seafood restaurant and then my friend recommended me this place, I went there I found out this restaurant is one of the best! The service, the staff members & the food all EXCELLENT!! Definitely I will come back again.
Great crab and food but..... The old man taking the order trying to sell pomfret, when asked how much and how heavy just ignored the question, when the bill came one small pomfret was rm120 wow.
Always be one of my favourite restaurant in KL. Yummy food with reasonable price. A bit far from town but worth to go there. seafood is fresh and nice staffs.
Really tasty seafood at reasonable prices
Nice food!! Worth to try
Service here is okay. The food is good though! In particular, the 上汤啦啦 and the satay are two to look out for. The beef satay especially, was really good!
Quality of food drops compared to few years back, still don't quite understand why the crowd, perhaps its halal
Chili crab was really good as was the butter prawn, immense portions. Ginger beef keow taow was excellent. Cannot go wrong at Lala Chong
Place and food still good.
